The caves of Postojna lie at the south west of Slovenia about 1km away of the centre. 6 of the more than 20km long cave was opened more than 80 years ago for the public.

Škocjan
30km at the south west of the caves of Postojna you find perhaps the most beautiful caves in the world. In 1986, UNESCO exclaimed this 1,5km head cave to globally cultural heritage. This is the only site in Slovenia which stands in the world heritage list.
Snežna The ice caves of Snezna, are the highest caves of Slovenia who are open for public. They lay on 1500metres height. You find this caves in the mountain Raduha, who is 2062 meters high. This mountain lays between two small cities, Luce and Solcava in the north of Slovenia. The temperature in the caves lays between –10° tot +2,5° degrees. You can’t compare this cave with the caves of Postojna & Skocjan.

Križna The special feature of the cave of Križna, who lies in the South of Slovenia, is the fact that it is formed out of 22 lakes. The most beautiful part is the Kalvarija room it exist out of 2 parts, the cave where you see running water & the one with a lake.
