The lake of Bled is the favourite holiday for a lot of people in Julian Alps. If you stand along the lake of Bled you have a beautiful view on the mounts, the castle of Bled & the St. Martin Church. In the middle of the lake you find the most important curiosity, the Maria-island. The special pletna-boats brings you to the church of Maria-Hemelvaart which you can bring a visit. The wish bell, inside the church, would bring luck to couples who are in love.

The castle of Bled accommodates a museum where you find paintings & furniture from several periods. On the lake you can play several water sports. In the city you find beside little shops, many hotels, cafés & taverns. Beside of that there are numerous sport facilities such as golf, tennis, bicycles, climb there, horse riding. ..

The lake of Bohinj which lies in the Triglav park, is the largest & most beautiful lake of Slovenia. The only building which stands along the bank is the Johannes church absolutely worth a visit. You can admire splendid beautiful frescos.

Not far away from the lake is you find the most beautiful water fall of the country, the Savica water fall. On the mountain “Vogel” you have a marvellous & large panorama of the lake. In the summer you have a lot of sport & water sport facilities in & around the lake. In the winter you can ski there on the many mountains.
